RIP Dr. Dobb’s Journal

An end of an era has happened. Most venereal programming magazine has published its last issue.

I admit that I haven’t followed it much on the last decade, but before that it was well worth the money. It was a magazine that I could learn something new every time. It had excellent articles about very interesting topics.

I’ve grown better as a programmer due to reading it.

    I thought it was going to continue as an online magazine. Is that wrong?

    Some of the content will be available as a new “Dr. Dobb’s Report” section of InformationWeek.

    It’s going to continue online as well, but there will be no more paper copy. As nice as online reading is, the magazine doesn’t run out of battery juice and doesn’t require internet :)
