Something new at Hawrelak park
I’ve been going to Hawrelak park quite regularly for the last couple of months, and it’s nice to see changes from one day to the next.
Today, I was surprised by tens of floating platforms and groups of people guiding them in logdriver-style. Of course, I had to be curious and to find out what the hell they were doing.
Turns out that Edmonton is hosting the 8th ICF World Canoe Polo Championships from July 24th to 27th, with practices being held starting July 14th.
26 Countries, 4 pitches and a whackload of paddles. Sounds like good fun, and it would seem that watching the matches will be free.
